Frank & Audrey Lynch's '72

Car info: I found this Chevelle in Lincoln, NE in October 2015 and it had 54,000 miles on it. I thought it might have 154,000 when I bought it because the brake pedal was worn, but after studying the car and having a bunch of people look at it, I’m convinced it had 54,000 on it. We believe the brake pedal was worn because the car does not have power brakes. The interior is very nice. The exterior shows its 43 years, but I believe most of the paint is likely still original.
The story was that the car was originally owned for many years by an older lady. When she died, her estate sold it off and the next owner had it around 10 years, and the guy I bought it from in Lincoln had it for 2 years. He put a 4 barrel carburetor and headers on the car, as well as the rally wheels. When it didn’t have the HP he wanted, he decided to sell the car and buy an SS instead of pulling the engine and try to put bigger one in. I was looking for a car that was as original as possible when I found this one.
I had a 1969 Chevelle Malibu convertible back in the 80’s and 90’s and knew I was going to miss it one day. Like a lot of people and their cars from years ago, I wish I had it back today… This is a very nice replacement for it. I drove it to Albert Lea Minnesota for a car show on the 4th of July. Drove up and back with no issues, except I brushed a deer in Sioux Rapids, IA. My heart stopped until I verified no damage, not even deer hair.
Since purchasing the car, I’ve had the AC repaired, and put new springs and shocks all around.
