As per club tradition, last year's recipient of the award choses the new recipient of the award. This annually traveling award was created to recognize members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the club and the hobby in a Chevelle oriented manner.

This year's recipient of the award goes to Rich Cummings.

Rich is a charter member and served as club president from 2001 through 2006. Through Rich's efforts, the Heartland Web site was also created, developed and brought online for the members to enjoy and to share news about the club.
