President's Report:
Car Council meeting last week, recap of swap meet. Car Council book is
online (See Heartland Chevelle website). National Collector Car
Appreciation day 7/12 SEMA is maintaining and publicizing a list of
scheduled events.
New Business:
Car Shows:
- World of
Wheels - the Riddler Award went to an Omaha native (in Detroit the week
before0 rumored to have spent over $700,000. all club participants were
reimbursed for entry fees from the WOW fund. MECA has raised fees for
electrical hook up and for parking passes.
- 6/15 - 16
Zoom Event at Henry Doorley Zoo.
- KC show - 2
hotels, one onsite, one 6 blocks away. Need to make reservation ASAP
for onsite hotel (limited rooms available).
- Fremont
Show 7/13 run by John Kennedy (a club member), show has a club
participation award.
Need to edit club
application to include Monte Carlo's and El Camino's. ACES has been
removed.
ABT Customs (Al Peters):
Has discount coupons. Does all type of work (alignments, custom
suspension work lowering or raising). He would like to have an open
house (bring down our cars). Possibly have a meeting at his shop. More
